Slovak Technical University in Bratislava has become a member of CESAER



Since 1 January 2022, the Slovak University of Technology has been part of CESAER, the prestigious European association which brings together leading specialized and comprehensive universities focused on science and technology.

STU has joined CESAER together with the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, the National Technical University of Athens, the Sapienza University of Rome and the University of Southampton.

For STU, membership in this prestigious association means an opportunity to exchange valuable information and, what is more, also to express itself in shaping European policies in the field of science and research,“ said Oliver Moravčík, the STU Rector.

Congratulations to STU on a fantastic success,“ responded the Slovak Liaison Office for Research and Development in Brussels.

CESAER is a European association of the leading specialized and comprehensive universities of science and technology that promote excellence in higher education, training, research and innovation, and contribute to the implementation of open knowledge societies. The Association has a significant scientific, economic, social and societal influence.

CESAER brings together nearly 60 research-intensive universities from 28 countries. It is a recognized organization of the European Research Area stakeholders. It educates more than one million students, of whom more than 180,000 (17%) are international; employs more than 88,000 academic staff; 48 members are in the THE World rankings, 20 in the QS world rankings and 14 in the new THE Impact rankings.
