The opening event took place at <\/span>Kulturpark<\/b>, gathering national representatives of several EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities, local stakeholders, and innovation leaders.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe Hub will serve as a dynamic meeting point for innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, and policymakers, helping to connect local talents with Europe\u2019s foremost innovation network.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe launch featured active participation from Peter M\u00e9s\u00e1ro\u0161, Rector of the Technical University of Ko\u0161ice (TUKE), who welcomed participants and joined the panel <\/span>\u201cBuilding Innovation Capacity: From Vision to Implementation.\u201d<\/span><\/i> His contribution underlined the strong commitment of Slovak academia to building a sustainable innovation ecosystem in the region.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe Ko\u0161ice Hub is the latest extension of EIT\u2019s efforts in Slovakia; it follows the appointment of Slovak economist <\/span>J\u00e1n Oravec<\/b><\/a> to the EIT Governing Board, highlighting the country\u2019s growing influence in shaping strategic decisions at Europe\u2019s innovation frontier.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe new Hub will provide information on EIT programmes and funding, facilitate workshops, networking sessions, and training, and support startups and scale-ups.
