(Slovakia\u2019s overall success rate in H2020 in Cluster 3 was 9.1%, while the current overall success rate across the entire Horizon Europe programme for this country stands at 19.1%.) Among all participating countries, Luxembourg ranked second in Cluster 3 with 13%, followed by Belgium in third place with an average success rate of 12.8%. Out of a total of 93 participations by Slovak entities in project proposals, 18 were successful, receiving a total EU contribution of \u20ac2.6 million. In 2025, a total of 600 project proposals were submitted under Cluster 3, representing a 38% increase compared to 2024.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Traditionally, the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic ranks among the most successful applicants, this time securing 5 successful projects. Slovak applicants performed well across several thematic areas, including:<\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Better Protection of the EU and Its Citizens Against Crime and Terrorism,<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Effective Management of EU External Borders,<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Disaster-Resilient Society for Europe,<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Strengthened Security Research and Innovation.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Other successful organisations include Keennovate s.r.o., Innovatrics s.r.o., ISEM \u2013 Institute for International Security and Crisis Management, Centre of Scientific and Technical Information of the Slovak Republic (CVTI SR), Telenet o.z., GLOBSEC, and SEC Technologies s.r.o.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The projects will focus, for example, on:<\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">innovative technologies for<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> detecting concealed weapons, explosives, and suspicious behaviour in crowded public spaces,<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">crypto-forensic tools, algorithms, and visual analytics to trace transactions across multiple ledgers,<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">a next-generation multi-person border control corridor for travellers on foot,<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">overall improvement of expertise in Cluster 3,<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">detecting, understanding, and disrupting the digital infrastructures that enable organised crime and<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">hybrid threats,<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">developing, validating and demonstrating a rights-preserving, interoperable age-assessment capability for EU borders,<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">communication challenges by developing a secure, AI-enabled, and multilingual cross-border communication framework.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These projects are expected to start their implementation in August or September 2026.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Despite this positive development, there is still room for improvement, particularly in the participation of Slovak entities in coordinator roles across the various clusters of the Horizon Europe programme.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Published 14.4.2026, slord<\/span>\r\n\r\n<br style=\"font-weight: 400\" \/><br style=\"font-weight: 400\" \/>","kratky_opis":"Slovakia achieved impressive results in the overall success rate of approved project proposals in Cluster 3 of the Horizon Europe.","oblast":["799"]},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/slord.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/aktuality\/271395","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/slord.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/aktuality"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/slord.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/aktualita"}],"acf:term":[{"embeddable":true,"taxonomy":"oblast-slord","href":"https:\/\/slord.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/oblast-slord\/799"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/slord.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=271395"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/slord.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=271395"},{"taxonomy":"oblast-slord","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/slord.sk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/oblast-slord?post=271395"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
