{"id":87328,"date":"2024-11-27T15:43:40","date_gmt":"2024-11-27T14:43:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/slord.sk\/?post_type=aktualita&p=87328"},"modified":"2024-11-27T15:43:40","modified_gmt":"2024-11-27T14:43:40","slug":"the-2024-slovak-science-and-technology-awards-announce-their-winners","status":"publish","type":"aktualita","link":"https:\/\/slord.sk\/en\/aktualita\/the-2024-slovak-science-and-technology-awards-announce-their-winners\/","template":"","tags":[751],"oblast-slord":[790],"class_list":["post-87328","aktualita","type-aktualita","status-publish","hentry","tag-news","oblast-slord-ine-en"],"acf":{"nadpis":"The 2024 Slovak Science and Technology Awards Announce Their Winners ","opis":"[caption id=\"attachment_87333\" align=\"aligncenter\" width=\"692\"]\"\" Source: vedanadosah.cvtisr.sk[\/caption]\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe 2024 Science and Technology Week in Slovakia,<\/b> which featured hundreds of events from 11\u201317 November, <\/span>concluded with the prestigious Science and Technology Awards ceremony. <\/b>The gala, held on 15 November in the Winter Riding Hall of Bratislava Castle, <\/span>recognised eight individuals and one research team <\/b>that highlighted the importance of collaboration and interdisciplinarity in science and research. <\/span>Among the awardees were exceptional young talents<\/b> as well as <\/span>renowned scientists respected both at home and abroad.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\r\n\r\nThe Science and Technology Awards, <\/b>established in 2014, are presented annually by the <\/span>Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sport of the Slovak Republic (M\u0160Va\u0160 SR).<\/b> The event itself is organized <\/span>under the auspices of the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (CVTI SR).<\/b> This year\u2019s ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education, <\/span>Tom\u00e1\u0161 Drucker,<\/b> as well as the Director General of CVTI SR, <\/span>R\u00f3bert G\u00e1lik,<\/b> members of the evaluation committee, representatives of academia, organizations involved in science and technology, the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and other partners and distinguished guests.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nIn his opening remarks, Minister Tom\u00e1\u0161 Drucker<\/span> expressed heartfelt gratitude and respect for the honored scientists, highlighting their vital contributions to tackling global challenges. <\/b>He underscored that <\/span>the Science and Technology Awards are not just a recognition of exceptional accomplishments but also an inspiring beacon for the next generation of researchers. <\/b>CVTI SR Director General R\u00f3bert G\u00e1lik echoed this sentiment, stating: <\/span>\"Our aim is to show that the meaningful work of scientists extends far beyond laboratories and research institutions and has a tangible impact on the world we live in.\"\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\r\n\r\nThe awards were presented<\/span> in five categories. <\/b>An evaluation committee comprising representatives from government bodies, universities, research institutions, and other relevant stakeholders <\/span>selected nine laureates from a pool of nominations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\r\n\r\n \r\n
