The event will bring together policymakers, scientists, and other stakeholders to discuss the future direction of the European research and innovation landscape.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The discussion will focus on the future of European research and innovation in the context of preparations for the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.era-learn.eu\/partnerships-in-a-nutshell\/european-partnerships\/next-framework-programme-fp10\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">10th EU Framework Programme<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (FP10), European competitiveness, and global scientific cooperation. The event also takes place at a time of intensive discussions on the future of European research and innovation and the development of an agile European ecosystem. This ecosystem is expected to connect the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/european-research-area.ec.europa.eu\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">European Research Area<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (ERA), the European Innovation Area, and the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/education.ec.europa.eu\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">European Education Area<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> with initiatives such as the so-called <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/topics\/business-and-industry\/doing-business-eu\/company-law-and-corporate-governance\/eu-inc-new-harmonised-corporate-legal-regime_en\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">28th Regime<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/topics\/research-and-innovation\/choose-europe_en\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Choose Europe for Science<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span>\r\n<h5><b>Programme and registration<\/b><\/h5>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The programme will include panel discussions dedicated to excellent science in Europe, the future of FP10, the knowledge economy, and international scientific cooperation.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The aim of the event is to foster dialogue on:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\r\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2022 the design of an attractive and impactful FP10 programme,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\r\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2022 building an agile European research and innovation ecosystem,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\r\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2022 strengthening Europe\u2019s competitiveness and strategic autonomy,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\r\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2022 ensuring responsible international cooperation in science and technology under new geopolitical conditions.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Speakers will include, among others, <\/span><b>President of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS) Martin Venhart<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, European Commissioner for Start-ups, Research and Innovation Ekaterina Zaharieva, and ERC President Maria Leptin.
