Slovak Liaison Office for Research & Development (SLORD) in Brussels is celebrating its 10th Anniversary, therefore we are delighted to invite you to join us in the celebration. 

Over the past decade, SLORD has been devoted to promoting research excellence and enhancing the role of the Slovak research and innovation community within Europe. 

We are particularly honoured that Mr. Tomáš Drucker, Minister of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic, will deliver the opening remarks. 

We are also pleased to confirm that Ms. Signe Ratso (The Commission’s Deputy Director-General for Research and Innovation) will deliver a speech at the event in honour of the 10th anniversary of SLORD.

The event will also include a roundtable discussion with 3 leading Slovak scientists (Mr. Štefan Boháček, Mr. Michal Kompan, Ms. Silvia Pastoreková), addressing challenges in achieving research excellence at the European level and reflecting on ways the next Framework Programme can better support exceptional researchers, not only in the Widening countries. 

Ms. Mária Malová, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Slovak Republic to the EU, will outline the key components of our preliminary national position on the forthcoming 10th EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
