The CEE Startup Voucher competition unfolded during the Unique Summit event, a platform fostering connections among startup ecosystems beyond the major capital. The competition aimed to provide support to promising early-stage small and medium-sized enterprises that possess radical innovations with the potential for rapid market penetration.

The finals showcased innovation and entrepreneurial prowess by featuring the top ten startups from six different countries.

The competition’s success owes much to the rigorous judgment of Taryn Andersen, Anna Maj, Sławomir Olejnik, Vanda Seidelová, and Pavel Csank. These judges faced the challenging task of selecting the standout startups, with vouchers worth 20,000, 12,000, and 8,000 at stake.

The winners are:

• 1st Place and Audience Winner: sweetACTIVE by BFT (Slovakia)

The “healthy beet products” is name of the start-up project of BFT company, focused on systematic solutions of raising problem with high glycemic stress in modern society. Therefore, BFT is developing new natural sweeteners from sugar beet that are better for people’s health without having to compromise sweet taste. The production process was focused on to protecting of active substances which can improve the body glycemic resistance and body nutrition as impact of the synergic effect of different components from sugar beet. The sweetACTIVE are produced without the allergens, therefore are suitable also for production of gluten free and lactose free foods.

• 2nd Place: Archee with the SPEAR Hydro Project (Slovakia)

SPEARhydro stands as a pioneering floating hydropower plant, delivering clean and stable electricity through the harnessing of rivers‘ natural flow. Spearheading a transformative approach to river utilization, the initiative promotes sustainable energy production directly within cities and urban areas. SPEARhydro add-ons can be integrated also to existing floating structures.

• 3rd Place: Out of Dark Project (Czech Republic)

This startup is focusing on monitoring and enhancing the customer journey and experience.
